Tulay Kansu

Prof. Tulay Kansu earned her medical degree from Hacettepe University in Ankara. From 1971 to 1978, she underwent postgraduate training in Philadelphia, completing a neurology residency at Temple University and Pennsylvania Hospital, and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. She joined the faculty at Hacettepe Medical School, attaining the rank of Professor in 1988. Prof. Kansu has held several prestigious positions, including Associate Dean (1991–1994), President of the Turkish Neurological Society (2009–2011), and Director of the Department of Neurology (2010–2013). In 2022, she received the Turkish Neurology Association Science and Service Award. Her research contributions are primarily in the fields of neurology and visual neuroscience.
