Abstract Submission and Guidelines

Call for Abstracts

ISMIND 2026 invites clinicians, researchers, and early-career investigators to submit original scientific work in the fields of multiple sclerosis, autoimmune neurology, neuroimmunology, and related translational disciplines.

Submission Process

All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the official congress website.

Submissions sent by e-mail or other means will not be considered.

Submission Deadline: 15 April 2026
Late Submission Deadline: 1 May 2026

Abstract Format and Requirements

  • Abstracts must be written in English and adhere to international standards of scientific writing.
  • The abstract body (excluding title, authors, and affiliations) must not exceed 300 words.
  • A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords must be provided.
  • Tables, figures, and references are not permitted within the abstract.

Title

The title should clearly reflect the scientific content of the study and follow standard capitalization rules for academic writing.

Authors and Affiliations

  • Academic titles should not be included.
  • Surnames must be written in capital letters.
  • The presenting author must be clearly identified.
  • Full institutional affiliations (institution, city, country) are required.

Structured Abstract

Abstracts must be organized under the following headings:

  • Objectives – Clearly state the scientific rationale and aim of the study.
  • Methods – Describe study design, methodology, models used, and participant characteristics.
  • Results – Present key findings supported by relevant statistical analysis.
  • Conclusion – Provide scientifically grounded conclusions and clinical or translational implications.

Where applicable, ethical approval, clinical trial registration numbers, and funding acknowledgments should be included within the 300-word limit.

Scientific Review and Presentation Pathway

  • All submissions will undergo peer review by the ISMIND 2026 Scientific Committee.
  • Accepted abstracts will be presented as E-Posters during the congress.
  • Based on scientific merit and review scores, selected abstracts will be invited for presentation in dedicated Oral Communication Sessions, highlighting outstanding contributions.
  • ISMIND is committed to maintaining transparent and merit-based scientific evaluation standards as part of its long-term academic positioning.

E-Poster Technical Specifications

Accepted authors must prepare their E-Poster as:

  • PowerPoint (PPT) format
  • Single slide
  • Vertical (portrait) 16:9 format
  • High-resolution display

Detailed technical instructions will be provided upon acceptance.

Registration Policy

  • In order for an abstract to be included in the scientific program, the presenting author must complete congress registration.
  • Abstracts accepted but not presented will not be included in the official proceedings.

Publication and Academic Development

  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the official ISMIND 2026 Abstract Proceedings.
  • ISMIND is developing a long-term academic publication strategy, with the objective of establishing indexed abstract publications and potential journal collaborations in future editions.
  • The scientific and ethical responsibility for submitted work rests entirely with the authors.
