Dr. Abdulkadir Tunç is a Professor of Neurology at Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, Turkey, where he leads clinical and academic activities in the Department of Neurology. He received his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and completed his neurology residency at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital in 2013. He further pursued international subspecialty training through the prestigious European Charcot Foundation (ECF) Multiple Sclerosis Master Programme at Dresden International University, Germany.
His primary clinical and research interests focus on multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), MOG-antibody associated disease (MOGAD), and neuromuscular disorders.
Dr. Tunç is actively involved in multicenter national and international research projects, including studies on transcriptomic profiling in MS, AI-based lesion detection on MRI, and clinical predictors of disability progression in demyelinating diseases. He is a member of the Turkish MS Society, the European Charcot Foundation, and the Turkish Neurological Society. Beyond his research, he is dedicated to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, teaching neurology to medical students and residents.
