Prof. Altin Kuqo, MD, PhD, is the elected President of the Albanian Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Association AMSA..
Prof. Kuqo is a neurologist and academic physician at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine, Tirana, and the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” in Tirana, Albania. He is currently the Head of the Neurology Service at UHC “Mother Teresa” and is a full-time lecturer in Neurology at the Department of Neurosciences, Faculty of Medicine. University of Medicine, Tirana.
With nearly three decades of clinical experience in neurology, his professional and academic work focuses on neuroimmunology, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular disorders, neurogenetics, peripheral neuropathies, epilepsy, and neurological emergencies. He has completed international training in neurology, neurophysiology and neuromuscular pathology in France and Italy, including at Hôpital Neurologique “Pierre Wertheimer” in Lyon, University of Siena etc.
Prof. Kuqo has contributed to national and international scientific publications and conferences, including research on multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, hereditary neuropathies, neurogenetic disorders and other immune-mediated neurological conditions.
His current work aims to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, improve neurological care pathways, and bridge clinical practice, education and research in neuroimmunology and related neurological disorders.
