Nazire Pınar Acar Özen graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and completed her neurology residency at the same institution in 2015. In 2018, she joined Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor. Between 2018 and 2019, she conducted research at Harvard Medical School’s Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases within the Weiner Laboratory, where she was involved in in vitro T cell studies, experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis models, and oral tolerance induction research. Since 2014, she has been affiliated with the Esendağlı Laboratory at Hacettepe University Cancer Institute, pursuing research in neuroimmunology. In 2021, she completed a Master of Science degree in Basic Immunology at the same institute. She continues her academic and research activities at Hacettepe University, with a clinical and scientific focus on multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, MOGAD, autoimmune encephalitis, and neuro-Behçet disease.
