Panagiotis Zis

Dr. Panagiotis Zis is Associate Professor of Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology at University of Cyprus. He obtained his Medical Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2005, followed by an MSc in Health Care Management from the Hellenic Open University in 2012 and a PhD in Neurology in 2013. He completed his specialist training in Neurology in 2015 and was certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine in 2017.

His research focuses on the application of advanced neurophysiological techniques — including nerve conduction studies, excitability studies, electromyography (EMG), single-fiber EMG, and transcranial magnetic stimulation — in the diagnosis of peripheral nervous system disorders. His primary academic interests include all aspects of polyneuropathies, particularly their epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and natural history.
