Semra Mungan

Prof. Dr. Semra Mungan is a senior neurologist at the Department of Neurology, Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, University of Health Sciences, Türkiye.
She received her medical degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and completed her neurology residency training at the same institution in 2002. Following her specialization, she continued her academic and clinical career at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital until 2019, where she was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2016.
Since 2019, Prof. Mungan has been serving at the Department of Neurology, Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, University of Health Sciences, Türkiye, where she has held the title of Professor since 2024.
Her principal field of expertise is neuroimmunology, with a particular focus on demyelinating diseases and multiple sclerosis. Prof. Mungan has extensive clinical and academic experience in the diagnosis, management, and long-term follow-up of patients with neuroimmunological disorders. She is actively involved in the care of a large number of multiple sclerosis patients and has contributed to numerous scientific studies, academic meetings, and educational activities in the field of neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis.
Her work primarily focuses on clinical neuroimmunology, disease progression, and contemporary therapeutic approaches in multiple sclerosis. In addition to her clinical practice, she continues to participate in national and international scientific collaborations and educational programs related to neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis.
