Stephanos Finitsis MD, PhD (M), is a Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiologist, Assistant Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece who also works as a
Consultant at the Radiology Department of the AHEPA University Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. His expert skills involve Diagnostic Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology. He has served for two years as a Member at the board of the Greek Society of Interventional Radiology. He has organized successfully as a President the 9th National Greek Congress of Interventional Radiology. He is the head of the Neurointerventional Department of the AHEPA University Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. On his lead his Department has been recognized as the tertiary referral Stroke center in the wider area of North Greece. He has participated in many clinical studies as principal investigator, among others the pre-clinical evaluation of new Thrombectomy devices and is involved in the development and validation of new ones. His research work focuses on the implementation of AI on the diagnosis and treatment of Neurovascular Diseases. His work is partially supported by National and European grants. He is a reviewer in 4 journals and has published 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
